Bloom Vineyards, Hopland California
Jim Bloom has been managing the award winning Middleridge Vineyards in Mendocino County, California for over 20 years. In 1996 Jim Bloom planted his vineyard at his ranch on Sanel Valley Road near Hopland, California. Jim & his late wife Ranee asked the family to participate, and Ken & Virginia Bloom, their kids, and a number of other relatives & friends learned how to plant grapes in the new Bloom Vineyard.
The end of each row is adorned with a plaque bearing the planter’s name. This is the “Family Reserve”. The first harvest was in 1998, and Ken & Virginia Bloom have joined other family members participating in harvests since then. The finest grapes are selected each year to bring back to Whidbey Island and make into Bloom's signature wine - Bloom Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
Enjoy some photos from around the Blooms Vineyards. These photos were shot over the years from planting through this year's harvest.
