Blooms Winery of Whidbey will participate in several wine tasting activities this year. We are also available for private wine tasting parties by appointment.

Major Whidbey Wine Tasting Events for 2011

• Red Wine and Chocolate
• A multi-winery passport event put on by the Whidbey Island Vintners Association over two weekends in February - both Valentines weekend the 12th & 13th and Presidents weekend 19th - 21st. Our Taste 4 Wines Tasting Room is open each day from 10 am to 5 pm.

• The opening of our expanded tasting room include the "Cellar Room" at Taste for Wine, and features an art gallery, wine bar style food like cheese trays, nuts, and olives to enjoy with a glass of wine while you sit and visit with friends! Artists will vary month to month.
• Savor Spring Wine Tour May 21st & 22nd
• Another of the Whidbey Island Vintner Association sponsored events, this time paired with local food producers for a true taste of Whidbey Island! The Taste for Wine tasting room at Bayview Corner will feature samples of Little Brown Farm goat cheese to pair with the wine and will feature some new spring releases!
  
• Fall Wine Tour - Celebrate Harvest With The Vintners! Buy tickets for Autumn on Whidbey Wine Tour
  Another Whidbey Island Vintner Association event  scheduled over Veteran's Day weekend - November 11th - 13th to celebrate the completion of harvest and crush.
• Volunteer Appreciation Party
  Blooms relies upon the good nature and strong backs of a lot of friends and neighbors, and we will be having a special party to thank them all! Volunteers will be notified of the date via email.

Private Wine Tasting Parties at the Winery

Groups of four to eight people can arrange for a private tour and tasting with food pairings at the winery. A recent event included five varieties of wine and foods to pair with each course such as:

• Blooms Ambrosia paired with Grilled Salmon with Roasted Chili & Lime Butter
• Blooms Semillon paired with Shrimp & Scallop pate
• Blooms Calla paired with Wild Mushroom & Goat Cheese Bruchetta and Ricotta & Spinach dumplings
• Bloom Vineyards Cabernet served with grilled New York steak with Gorgonzola Walnut Butter
• Blooms newest release, Poetry, served with grilled vegetables with Romesco Sauce and assorted cheeses
• Finish with dark chocolates and a fruit & cheese platter

Costs for these tastings generally run $80- $100. per person

Private Wine Tastings at   Blooms Winery can include         pairing with gourmet food and cheeses and have become quite popular. Groups are a minimum of four and limited to eight people.
