Blooms Winery of Whidbey will participate in several wine tasting activities this year. We are also available for private wine tasting parties by appointment.

Major Whidbey Wine Tasting Events for 2010

• Red Wine and Chocolate
• A multi-winery passport event put on by the Whidbey Island Vintners Association over Valentine's weekend in February from 10 am to 5 pm
  The new tasting room at Bayview Corner will be open 10 am to 6 pm for this event and regular tasting.
• Savor Spring Wine Tour May 22nd & 23rd
• Another of the Whidbey Island Vintner sponsored events, this time paired with local food producers for a true taste of Whidbey Island! The Taste 4 Wines tasting room at Bayview Corner will feature food treats from Live Edge Farms to pair with wines!
• Loganberry Festival July 24th & 25th at the Greenbank Farm! Two days of music, wine, food, art and fun!
• A Wine Tasting Event the last weekend in July sponsored by the Greenbank Farm with a dozen local wineries showcasing a selelction of their wines by the taste. Also included in the two day event is live entertainment, food and arts and crafts.

• Fall Crush Wine Tasting
  Another Whidbey Island Vintner Association event to be scheduled in the Fall to celebrate harvest.
• Volunteer Appreciation Party
  Blooms relies upon the good nature and strong backs of a lot of friends and neighbors, so this year in June we will be having a special party to thank them all!

Private Wine Tasting Parties

Groups of four to eight people can arrange for a private tour and tasting with food pairings at the winery. A recent event included five varieties of wine and foods to pair with each course such as:

• Blooms Ambrosia paired with Grilled Salmon with Roasted Chili & Lime Butter
• Blooms Semillon paired with Shrimp & Scallop pate
• Blooms Calla paired with Wild Mushroom & Goat Cheese Bruchetta and Ricotta & Spinach dumplings
• Bloom Vineyards Cabernet served with grilled New York steak with Gorgonzola Walnut Butter
• Blooms newest release, Poetry, served with grilled vegetables with Romesco Sauce and assorted cheeses
• Finish with dark chocolates and a fruit & cheese platter

Costs for these tastings generally run $100. per person

Private Party Wine Tastings at   Blooms Winery can include         pairing with food and cheeses    and have become quite popular. Groups are a minimum of four    and limited to eight people.     
                                              

                                               
The waterfront setting of           Blooms Winery offers a               wonderful place to enjoy food,    wine and good company and be   able to relax and enjoy yourself.
