Wines Made On Whidbey

winery counter

Ken and Virginia Bloom, owners and winemakers for Blooms Winery on Whidbey, started making wine in 1998.

New Tasting Room Open

Now with a shared tasting room at the Bayview Corner Cash Store called TASTE 4 WINES, Blooms Winery has a retail outlet. The winery is still available for private tastings and parties.

Don't forget, wines are available at local grocery stores, wine shops and restaurants, and the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop and Tasting Room regularly features Blooms Wines.

Whidbey Island Vintners Association

  • Whidbey Island is becoming a wine destination area for Western Washington. Many recent articles in Everett and Seattle papers and regional magazines have talked about it, and specifically listed Blooms Wines as some of the best on the Island.
  • Several events each year are planned by the Association to help create awareness of the wines of Whidbey, including Red Wine & Chocolates in February, a Spring Wine and Food tasting, and Fall Crush event.
Wine Barrels

Wine Barrels are lined up and ready to fill with Cabernet for aging.

Bloom Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon spends a year in oak prior to a year blended in tanks before bottling.

Taste 4 Wines tasting room

The inside of the Taste 4 Wines tasting room at the Bayview Corner Cash Store reflects the historic old general store in the use of the original wood floors and the addition of custom built wooden stools and cedar plank table tops and tasting bar. A unique and comfortable setting to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a friend.

Open Friday through Monday
